Gilded Moroccan Medallion Cabochon

This is a totally original to Peruzi design, the mould having been made by myself from a vintage brass stamping.  The piece has been decorated with a dark matte finish glaze with raised areas hand painted with a rich high gloss burgundy glaze before a second firing.
After firing the matte finished raised areas were treated with a metallic wax to give a beautifully opulent baroque piece.
Measures 45mm in diameter by 5mm.
Cabochons are flat backed pieces with no holes. They can be used in bead embroidery, with wirework surround or can simply have a bail glued to the back for instant conversion to a pendant.
