Lil' Birdie Focal Bead

This lovely coin / lentil shaped focal bead has an embossed bird design.  After the first firing, the outline of the design was painted in a matte finish sepia glaze and the background and flowers in pretty pastel semi gloss glazes before a second firing.  
The bird itself has been left matte for a contrast in textures.  Hole runs vertically through this bead which meassures 27mm in diameter by 12mm thick.
