Tangerine Butterfly Wings

Ceramic butterfly wing pair made with a robust porcelain clay.
These butterfly wings are totally hand decorated. The bright underlying colour has been added first, then a wax resist was drawn on before the black overcoat which allows the colour to show through. Finally finished with a clear gloss glaze. Back is plain black gloss.
Lightweight and perfect for earrings, this pretty pair measures 35mm by 20mm by 3mm.
